Jiffy reeds are made with Medir cane from the eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain, my preferred cane type for its consistency and close grain structure
22-gauge brass wire and non-toxic resin-based glitter hot glue (colors will vary)

Shipping times vary based on availability, most orders will ship within one week of purchase but bulk orders may take up to two weeks to ship
If you wish to add tip cutting or tip cutting & tip profiling to your bulk blank order, I will soak the blank, clip tip to 55mm total length (unless you request a different measurement in the order comments), and tip profile using the Rieger tip profiler standard template. These steps are simply a convenience for a busy bassoonist who has knowledge of reed-making and prefers to hand-finish their reeds to suit their taste. PLEASE BE AWARE: The tip profiler only removes cane in the first third of the reed, and there will be a noticeable “hump” where the profiler stops. No play testing will be done, and the tip profile will not be sanded or filed once it comes off the machine. Once clipped and tip profiled, Jiffy reed blanks are NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT, and will need additional scraping and adjustments to become a playable reed.
